Vendredi Mélissa et Greg se sont dit oui à Draguignan. Ils recevaient ensuite leurs familles et amis au Château Font du Broc. Un mariage très international et j’étais fort heureux de parler plusieurs langues pour me faire comprendre. Malgré une chaleur accablante jusqu’au cœur de la nuit l’ambiance était plus que festive et j’ai quitté la fête très tardivement avec regret afin de ne pas être en retard le lendemain matin à Cannes pour le mariage de Marie et Frédéric.

J’adore tout cette photo. La ronde tournait vraiment vite trop vite et j’ai failli être renversé par le jeune homme à la cravate marron!

Et oui photographe de mariage est un métier dangereux.

Delia et Fabien vivent et travaillent à Paris mais leur terre d’élection c’est Aix-en-Provence. Cette ville est merveilleuse, la lumière semble y être chez elle comme nulle part ailleurs. Une magnifique journée commencée avec le repérage de la salle des mariages à la mairie pour finir cour Mirabeau non sans un passage à la Cour Gourmande. Certainement une de mes plus belles séances depuis longtemps. Quant au mariage rendez vous en mai prochain dans un endroit absolument sublime: La Commanderie de Peyrassol.

Britische Hochzeiten haben einen besonderen Flair. Sie sind feierlich, intensiv mit einem Sinn fürs Dramaturgische, was bei französischen Hochzeiten ein wenig in Vergessenheit geraten ist. Arlène und Matthew leben seit einigen Jahren im Golf von Saint Tropez und beschäftigen sich mit der Verwaltung von Jachten und Immobilien. Für ihre Hochzeit haben sie sich in den Höhen von Ramatuelle die superbe Villa Ithaka und seinen riesigen exotischen Garten ausgesucht.

Trotz  Hilfe der zahlreichen Familienmitglieder von Arlène und einer sorgfältigen und methodischen Organisation,  herrschte bis einige Minuten vor der religiösen Zeremonie ein nervöses Drunter und Drüber. So dass Matthew vergass, sich zu rasieren und ich es nachträglich auf den Photos für ihn machen musste.

Sie können sich die Stimmung vorstellen mit Gästen, die unter anderen mit Leichtigkeit, zwei schottische Rugbymannschaften ausstatten könnten. Hier vorab schon mal ein paar Photos bis ich in einigen Wochen das endgültige Album fertiggestellt habe.

Um ihre Frisur in einem Spiegel zu Spiegelspiel zu kontrollieren, musste Arlene auf einen kleinen Hocker steigen.

Arlenes Papa, ein grosser Golfspieler, an den Parcours von Saint André gewöhnt, ist mit 74 Jahren in einer unglaublichen Form. Während sich die Damen schön machen, schlägt er mir ein kleines Sandwich vor; und bringt mir einen Teller, der ausreichend für die All Black s gewesen wäre.

Ein Kilt ist doch sehr praktisch! Ein Schotte, blass wie Kreide, hat seine Füsse ins Wasser gebaumelt unter südlicher Sonne und Palmen. Ist das ein Irrtum?
